Orange Shirt Day - Please wear your orange shirts on Friday September 28th!http://adm.scdsb.on.ca/about-us/news/school-news/110Orange Shirt Day - Please wear your orange shirts on Friday September 28th!<p>The Orange Shirt Day campaign -Every Child Matters (September 30 nationally) - recalls the experiences of former students of residential schools and is a commitment to ongoing reconciliation in Canada.</p><p>Originating in British Columbia, 2018 marks the fifth year of the campaign. September 30 is considered important in the residential school experiences of First Nation, Métis and Inuit people as this was the date when students would be removed from their homes to attend residential schools. </p><p>This year, September 30 falls on a Sunday, and Admiral has their School Photo Day on October 1st,  so we will recognize Orange Shirt Day on Friday September 28th. <br></p>

Each student has a unique login and password which their homeroom teacher has shared with them. The homeroom teachers will teach the students how to use the program and the math lessons. Another bus has been dispatched to continue the route. </p>

First Day Procedureshttp://adm.scdsb.on.ca/about-us/news/school-news/107First Day ProceduresWhen the bell rings at 8:55, students from Grades 1 to 8 will find their "grade sign" and will line up. A message from the Libraryhttp://adm.scdsb.on.ca/about-us/news/school-news/105A message from the Library<p>​</p><div>To Admiral families:</div><div><br> </div><div>The Admiral library has been clearing out books this past week and books were free as of Wednesday afternoon and will continue to be available Thursday.  </div><div><br> </div><div>I noticed Wednesday that some books may have inadvertently been placed on the clearance table before being withdrawn from the library circulation system.  Withdrawn books should have a marker line through the Admiral barcode sticker on the front of the book.  If your child happened to bring home a book without a line through the barcode, please email me at <a href="mailto:pthompson@scdsb.on.ca" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">pthompson@scdsb.on.ca</a> with the barcode number so I can remove that book from the system or alternatively have your child bring the book to the library so I can delete it.</div><div><br> </div><div>Thank you for your support and happy summer reading!</div>
